Cedar Mesa- McLoyds Canyon and
Moonhouse Ruin

McLoyds Canyon is on the eastern side of Cedar Mesa. It is accessed via Road 239. The interesting part of McLoyds Canyon begins on the Snow Flat Spring Cave mapsheet. It continues east onto the Bluff, NW mapsheet, where McLoyds Canyon meets Fish Creek Canyon. You can park at the drillhole on the Snow Flat Spring Cave mapsheet at about 06240 41530. There is a trailhead here leading north to the canyon rim. After reaching the canyon bottom, I have only hiked west up canyon till the canyon plays out. There may be a pouroff down canyon, to the east which may necessitate turning around. Further down canyon from the drill hole trail access about 2 1/2 kilometers is a side canyon entering from the south. This may provide access to the canyon bottom. Look for parking on the north side of the road as you head east.
